Kawaii Halloween Party

Halloween has always been one of my favorite holidays. Who doesn't love candy corn and dressing up? Last time we hosted a Halloween party, there were 30 ghouls + their parents. Pretty scary. Since we're spending Halloween at Disney World this year (yay!), I decided last minute to throw a fuss-free party using Paper Glitter's kawaii Halloween kit.

Wondering how I made the kawaii cat, ghost and pumpkin balloons? The tutorial + free templates from Paper Glitter are on Catch My Party.

Trick-or-Treat Halloween Party

Over 25 little goblins and ghouls were invited to our haunted house for a Trick-or-Treat Halloween party.

The table was tricked out with spooky dishes, like monster mash, yummy mummy pizzas and monster toes; and sweet treats, including Peeps ghost pops and decorated sugar cookies.

Homemade pumpkin cupcakes with cream cheese frosting were placed on top of my hand crafted candy corn cupcake stand.

Inexpensive foam crafts from Michael's were used to decorate the table.

Glittery purple bats hung from fallen branches that were spray painted black.

My husband did an amazing job carving the pumpkins to match the kitty, owl, and spider designs from Monkey Moo Moo.

The kids rotated to various crafting and game stations, and were mesmerized by some classic magic tricks.

Our handmade costumes were a big hit. Who would've guessed that we were scrambling to get our coordinating adult costumes done the night before!

Halloween Cupcake Toppers

I spent the past few days sculpting these cupcake toppers to coordinate with the Halloween designs from Monkey Moo Moo. Boy, it took me a really long time to make all of the tiny details. I even brushed them with some white pearl dust for a touch of shimmer (thanks for the tip, Loan). I'm so happy with how they turned out : ) BTW, the Monkey Moo Moo giveaway ends tonight at 11:59pm EST, so be sure to enter for a shot at winning these DIY printables.

WIP: Trick-or-Treat Halloween Party

Halloween is one of my favorite holidays. I love dressing up, making the kids' costumes, taking them trick-or-treating in our neighborhood, and you guessed it -- hosting Halloween parties. This year, we're brewing a "Trick-or-Treat" theme party using these DIY printables by Monkey Moo Moo. Donna's glittery designs are just so darn cute.

For the tricks, the Wizard will be performing some mesmerizing magic tricks, and convincing our little guests that they're munching on real monster toes and drinking rotten apple punch. Of course there will be plenty of treats too!
